Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Speakbound is an application published by TapShiftDev ("we", "us"). By downloading or using Speakbound you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. What Speakbound does

Speakbound helps you memorize text you provide and rehearse it aloud. You keep all rights to the text you add. We claim no ownership of your content and we do not use it to train anything.

3. Your account

Speakbound works without an account. If you enable cloud sync, an anonymous identifier is created for your device, which you may optionally link to a sign-in method. You are responsible for keeping access to any linked account secure.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use Speakbound to store or distribute content that is unlawful, or that you do not have the right to use. Do not attempt to disrupt or reverse engineer the service.

5. Subscriptions and purchases

Speakbound offers a free tier and a paid tier, Speakbound Pro, available as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. We cannot cancel it for you.
  • The annual plan begins with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their policies, not by us.

6. Availability

We aim to keep Speakbound working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The core of the app is designed to work offline, on your device, so a service interruption should not stop you practising.

7. Disclaimer and liability

Speakbound is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. If we make a material change we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
